Outfits!

I know I haven't posted much, but life's still busy like usual.

Here are two outfits I wore recently for work - just easy, comfy, and pretty cute.

Patterned tank and a cardigan. Skinnys and navy blue wedges.
<<< Flowy blue top (button down back), patterned scarf, skinnys, and my favorite flats. I triple barreled my hair that day. >>>

SO. My coworker's birthday was Friday, but last weekend we got a hotel in the cities and went to a few bars. The theme for girls was glitter, sequences, or just sparkles in general. I found this ENTIRE outfit for UNDER $50!!

Dress: Charlotte Rousse $10
Blazer: Charlotte Rousse $10
Belt: Charlotte Rousse $2
Sandals: Gordmans $12
Handbag: Gordmans $5
Ring: Charlotte Rousse $2
Bracelets: Target $4

I'd like to think I did a pretty good job on this one! I've never been so lucky with clearance hunting! Which, is actually the best part! --- I wasn't even trying to put the dress/belt/blazer together - just grabbed the blazer thinking it'd give me a good idea of what that dress would look like with something over it. Turns out, they all matched and fit perfect! :D

Just an outfit for you.

Here's a simple outfit that I wore to work this week. Dark skinny jeans, white tank, black cardigan, black heels, and finished off with an infinty scarf, a big gaudy ring, and some bracelets.
Comfort, cute, and professional.

I went out for a night on the town in this outfit! Super comfy, cute, and modest for those of you who don't think it's necessary to have your girls' hanging out all night long. I'm know I'm not willing to let anyone see that!

working out update

Hello! So life has been crazy like always. So crazy, that this post is being done from my cell phone! I haven't been home other than to sleep really lately, but that's part of being young, right?
Anyway - I've been doing Jillian Michaels thirty day shred, but I have to shamefully say that it's a slow process. I've done maybe four workouts. I know next week isn't going to be slow, so I will admit now that my goal is three workouts, but realistically might end up being one or two. Anyway, that's all I've got for you readers for now. Im sorry to disappoint.. Cuz lets be honest, im disappointing myself here lol.

For Real, this time.

Hello!

It certainly has been a long time since I have posted on our blog. Life's been busy and I'm never around my computer anymore!
I'm going to start officially working out again.. (I know I said that back by Thanksgiving, but let's be honest - it was the holiday season) I'm going to shed off the few extra pounds I have gained since working in a more relaxed environment!

I'm going to keep track of this on Hannah's Corner for now I think, so if anyone else wants to know how to eat burgers and everything else while losing a few pounds, now you can.

No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola Bars.

The first thing you should know about me is that I never follow recipes. Like ever. The second thing you should know about me is that I love peanut butter.

This last summer I went through a serious granola phase. I ate about 3 batches this summer, what's a batch you ask? Think 4 quart sized bags per batch. I must have switched to another breakfast food at some point, because I found some leftover granola in my freezer (yes it was still good, I promise!) So I decided to add it to my granola bars.

I found a ton of great looking recipes on Pinterest but, in the end, I decided to take no one's advice and make my own.

And they turned out fantastic. Super peanut buttery, chewy and chocolaty. Perfect. But then I remembered....  I  forgot the rice krispies!  Ugh! I'm still bummin' about this. You see, I hate rice krispies with milk. They're soggy and bland and all the sugar I put on top to make them taste better sunk  to the bottom of the bowl. Great, warm sugary milk.... just what I wanted for breakfast. Anyway, I had about 2 cups left over from making rice crispy treats (which I'm obsessed with) that would have been perfect for these! But they're still in my cupboard, forgotten, sad day. These are great granola bars, even without the extra crunch the rice crispy's would have added.

Dump and stir.

`

Pour and stir.

Spread evenly. I didn't have enough to fill the pan so I have what a geometry teacher might call a granola quadrilateral.

Ingredients:
1 c slivered almonds
1 1/2 c granola (recipe below)
1 c coconut
3/4 c chopped walnuts
1/2 c wheat germ
1 c rice crispy's
2 1/2 c rolled oats (not quick cooking)
1 - 1 1/2 c peanut butter, divided
1/2 c butter
1/2 c honey
1 T cocoa
1/2 c chocolate chips, divided

Mix first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Melt  peanut butter (reserve one heaping tablespoon), butter, honey, and 1/4 c chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Whisk in cocoa to melted peanut butter lava.  Mix the dry and wet ingredients in a large bowl and spread in a thin layer in a cookie sheet. Melt the rest of the chocolate chips and peanut butter and spread thinly over the bars. Pop these baby's in the freezer for 1 hour to chill (or chill over night). Cut into bars and enjoy.
